West Coast Vintage Racers - Cars with the #24
Car #24
The car is yellow with red flames. This track roadster was built by it’s owner Ted Weaver in 2002. It is powered by a 59 AB flathead Mercury block with a single four barrel carburetor. The car has been vintage raced at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon and at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. Ted crewed in the pits for Kenz and Leslie’s 777 Streamliner at Bonneville in 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952. Ted ran a 1932 coupe at Bonneville in 1950 that clocked in at 121 mph. Ted Weaver, the 71 year old owner/driver has equipped the car with a C4 Ford automatic transmission and hand controls since he has physical limitations.
