The car is a 1973 Edmunds Sprinter. The former owner was Alex Morales who was the C.R.A. Champion in 1975. The car’s nickname is the “Tamale Wagon” and under that name it won hundreds of races and became a very famous car. Jeff Smith owns the car now and is in the process of restoring it. Jeff drove midgets and sprints in the late 1960s to 1977. Jeff and Joyce own “Golden Age of American Racing” who make and sell T shirts and prints related to vintage racing.
